Winifred De Groff was born on the 9th February 1869, in Wisconsin, United States, the daughter of John W De Groff and Frances H Newman.
On the 1st June 1870, the 1-year-old Winifred was living with her family in the village of Alma, Buffalo County, Wisconsin. Home at the time were her father: John (27), the County Clerk; her mother: Frances (29), keeping house; her maternal grandfather: Alfred Newman (69), a farmer; and Switzerland-born Margreth Mang (18), house servant.[1]
She married David Isaac Cole on the 20th June 1900, in Wood County, Wisconsin.[2] Their son Frederic was born in 1908.
Winifred Cole née De Groff passed away in 1942, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, United States, and was interred in Hillside Cemetery, Marshfield, alongside her husband.[3]
